It is time again to report new time.
So: The mystery with gärig smelling rye in Mycelzucht still exists. Despite sufficiently long sterilization in DKT forms in virtually all glasses sooner or later an ugly, gäriger smell. The mycelium grows initially a bit, then comes Gärgeruch, the love mycelium is tipsy and do not want further :P - That should make NEN drug test! :D :P :D
At least it creeps only - if at all.
I have read that SALT would inhibit the growth of bacteria added to the rye. Even black tea had anti-epic effect. Or what do you think of homeopathic remedies? Schüssler salt No.3? Has there ever a rumprobiert?
Aso - before I forget: My attempt with polyester fleece for covering a brood glass led to the following conclusion: See glass 9th
I suspect that the increased gas exchange has greatly favored the mycelial growth. All mycelium is from fleece - grown down - ie from above.
My other impression is that the mycelium has formed a graft, which has prevented a further gas exchange. Therefore, the mycelium is not grown downward.
I am pleased as usual on your generous response! 8-)

Aha, now I know how to integrate images into text. Hooray!
And THANK YOU also for the numerous tips and tricks! Am I the only fungus (experiment) breeders here ;) ?

It seems to me as something much fluid has collected in the glass below, perhaps you might like to try something less liquid added to add if you sterilized the brood.

From homeopathic remedies, I think basically do nothing, but that can not hurt also, because they do nothing.

Thanks for your tip reinzutun less water. The ingredients and amounts I have in my new course book: pure tilted "The mushroom cultivation book". My very latest attempt builds on rye in a roasting bag, which was previously micro perforated with a spiked roller. So jam water to drain, and place gas exchange. Amazingly, smells of rye after two days also like fermented Baby -AA.
Tchja - and now love to homeopathy:
I personally think Homeopathy for quackery. Hoax - Woman fuss. ;) (No, I am NOT a Chauvinist :D ) Would in principle there would be anyway a new barrel to open:
Imagine if we find an herb; a drug that actually works in homeopathic dilution! The homeopaths swear by the effectiveness of 1,000,000,000,000 - fold dilutions. GEIL! Then we lie on the couch - wide as the bottom of a urafrikanischen eightfold mother with obesity of NOTHING; high as the Burj Khalifa, and the drug police would NEVER find what ...
    [S] S-O-S [/ s] The O-L
Has anyone ever nachgedachet about ???

What I have sunken. You shake the glass after inoculate also neat through? Quiet even 1-2 days after everything inoculate times by shaking so that the spores are distributed properly. Then the mycelium at different locations and not only from above grows downwards, or vice versa!
For this purpose, the glass must not be completely filled with rye of course, there must be some place to stay. This is also important in order to allow growth at all.

Yes, I'll shake carefully and conscientiously. Thereafter, each time everything looks unfortunately totally destroyed from. No longer visible mycelium - all gone (wine !!)
Whether I have also made it so conscientious in THAT glass I do not know. Since the vaccination of rye by transfer from glass to glass 5 9 - 9 and then the glass was pretty full that has perhaps not so well with the turmoil shaking ... This is indeed possible.
Now everything is always in a roasting bag - mixed with 400 grams of freshly sterilized rye.
Furthermore, I have 3 x 50 grams of mycelium - almost completely grown rye. I was soon put on wood.
    [B] As a reminder - I'm trying to breed the P.Azurescens [/ b].
    A:
Wood chips should be fresh, of deciduous trees and if possible of birch or alder.
Old (soaked) European beech does not seem to work for me. (Try)
How do I beomme the only? ...
    B:
In "The mushroom cultivation book" Schuldes writes that he added to the wood chips plaster. He writes in this Zussammenhang but of Shitake - this also applies to the Azurilein?
    C:
Schuldes writes further that breeding on wood [b] humus [/ b] works even better. So humus from wood chips. Of alder or birch. Hello? Where should I Get that?
To allow further growth of experimental cereal breeding in humus from the community yard is also generous failed. The rye mildew only- the mycelium enters.
It gets more complicated. Meanwhile, I feel more like Dr. Mabuse because Winston Smith.
But whether it - I never expected quick success.
